@Zakariia On IMDB the trivia says ” Gus Van Sant borrowed the title from Alan Clarke’s film of the same name, and thought that it referred to the Chinese proverb about five blind men who were each led to a different part of an elephant. Each man thinks that it is a different thing. What Clarke’s title actually referred to was the idea of the “elephant in the room.” It’s an idiom for an obvious truth that gets ignored, like an elephant in a room that no one will acknowledge is there.”

the film follows the different perspectives of the students involved in the shooting. The film is therefore called Elephant as it refers to a story when three blind men where asked to describe a different part of an elephant.

i watched this a while back with my friends, and at first we were creeped out, but then later we realised how cleverly put together it was.

It’s an artsy film about the shooting in Columbine only not precise. It shows different points of views of the victims, friends, as well as the killers. Great movie!

i havent seen this movie but other than the topic of it it doesnt look very good. if u like this movie you would probably love bang bang youre dead. thats a good movie but like i said i havent seen this one and not sure that i want to waste the time watchinng it.

It’s supposed to play off the expression “Elephant in the room”, meaning the subject which is iminent but people choose not to talk about or pretend doesn’t exist.
