i use eco earth. its compressed coconut fiber. soak it in water and wring it out. keep it damp or eggs wont hatch

in otherwords, when you dump out some crickets into your reptile cage / fish tank, babies and adults will be eaten. this really isn’t a problem. but some people would rather keep babies for the next generation. (though it probably won’t matter since you have thousands).
also some pets dont see the babies so you could be wasting them.
but its a hassle trying to sort crickets out one by one.

that isn’t true. a cricket will only be cannibalized if it is already dead or dying from sickness or if they are too crowded/ not enough food..
most people only find their crickets eating another one after its already half eaten and assume things about it.
i keep all my crickets of every size in the same container and if you use sufficient surface area and space, they don’t eat eachother.
the reason people tell you to seperate them is only so that you dont feed babies and adults to your pets.
