peanuts are ok for dogs, but sugary fatty foods are not good for them, if they go into one should be ok but if they ate a bunch of them call your vet.
Toxic Levels
The good news is that it takes, on average, a fairly large amount of theobromine 100-150 mg/kg to cause a toxic reaction. Although there are variables to consider like the individual sensitivity, animal size and chocolate concentration.
On average,
Milk chocolate contains 44 mg of theobromine per oz.
Semisweet chocolate contains 150mg/oz.
Baker’s chocolate 390mg/oz.
Using a dose of 100 mg/kg as the toxic dose it comes out roughly as:
1 ounce per 1 pound of body weight for Milk chocolate
1 ounce per 3 pounds of body weight for Semisweet chocolate
1 ounce per 9 pounds of body weight for Baker’s chocolate.
So, for example, 2 oz. of Baker’s chocolate can cause great risk to an 15 lb. dog. Yet, 2 oz. of Milk chocolate usually will only cause digestive problems.

One or two will not hurt even a small dog, that doesn’t mean you should use them as treats. Peanuts and carmel are not bad for dogs in small quantities. Some tree nuts are very bad for dogs, so it’s best to stick to “dog food”.

Yes it’s very dangerous, the caffeine in the chocolate and other chemicals are poison. Also avoid nuts and caramel they are dangerous to, dogs stomaches are completely different to ours 5 grapes can easily kill them. Stick to dog treats and bones.

Well, yes, giving them any form of chocolate is risky, but if it’s a one and only time thing, yes….what I mean, is that if they ate it themselves instead of you giving the dog the candy, it most likely won’t hurt them. As for the nuts, I give my dog peanuts all the time, and it hasn’t hurt her yet!

Yes it is bad because it can make a reaction inside the dog which as the dog gets older it will get blind and deaf so sorry but it is bad but don’t listen to any one it will be fine your dog will not die just do not do it again you can buy dog sweets give it a few of them
thank you

Yes It is bad for the dog. So are the nuts, not sure about the carmel. Once my german shepard had gotten into no bake cookies and the vet said to take the dog outside, make it drink peroxide, then it will throw up the chocolate, nuts, and carmel. If mot doing that get him to a vet asap
