I had a budgie with a similar condition but it just happened to a few feathers on her head…nothing like this at all. What i don’t get is people who are saying this is fake. For the budgie it’s more like a genetic disability…which humans have many of, why not birds?

FAKE!Bird with wig!They attach the wig to the eye socket so it cant see. Either that or this is some sweet CG. Look it up on wikipedia people and check UR FACTS! Just like “budgies” and “kestrelraptor” say above! This is not a mutant gene it is cruelty to animals!

im sooo glad u decided to love and nuture this Budgie! Wipper has a rare high growth gene that obviously makes the feathers grow out of control… if u can keep the eyes exposed so the poor baby can actually SEE, it will be a happy sweet bird!!! CHEERS.
