What about a hamster or rat? A rat is a very smart and sweet pet. They are as clean a pet as you keep them. They like to swim in the bathtub so, they’re easy to clean. I think they’re a good pet.

Sugar gliders. They are small, but nocturnal. They are best early in the am and later in the evening.

How about a chinchila, they are small great with people and fluffy, I had a chinchila and she was the greatest pet I ever had, so take my advice chinchilas are the best small pet ever!

sugar glider….they are nocturnal though, but are fun to have.

I’ve owned frogs and Guinea pigs before, so I know that both of them are great but make sure you take care of them. I lost one of my two frogs because I left the cage open overnight so he escaped. One was right outside the cage. The strange thing was that later that night I was searching through a box of junk when I found its corpse. As for the Guinea pigs, I had two of them until one died at only three years. So I got another one just days later and once again this guy died at age three. But the other Guinea pig that I started with lived for eight years! I miss my Guinea pigs and frogs…

A pet fancy rat is a wonderful pet. I have had 3 of them. They can be litter trained. They are very smart & wonderful campanions.

hamsters (nocturnal)-typically easy to clean up after and feed, playing is a little hard because all they want to do is run off of what ever they are on or hide under something (they aren’t afraid of heights and will jump off of anything!) and don’t really like to interact with people…
Ferrets-are awesome to have, the only bad thing is they stink (doesn’t matter if you bathe them every day or remove their glands, they still stink!) they are more interactive with people, my friend owns 4 of them and they are hilarious together if you have more than one…
Chinchila-never owned one or known anyone to own one, they don’t stink but can NOT get wet! they have to take baths in dust (found at any pet store) but they are expensive…
Guinea Pig (nocturnal)-more interactive with people but more like a hamster, typically easy to clean. but, they make noises when scared, nervous, etc that can be really loud

Guinea pigs are cute and cuddly and tend to make good small pets. They live 6-8 years and eat hay, pellets, and a variety of veggies. They should go to the vet once yearly because like all rodents and rabbits they may have teeth problems develop.

I suggest a mini lop bunny. When you think of rabbit, you think big like a cat, but mini lops get a little bigger than a geinea pig. I am getting one tomorrow and both of my bffs have one. They are great companions, but get a girl.
