Vacation house rentals that allow pets?

Can anyone recommend a website or rental properties that allow pets?
I’m looking for a small house or cottage (1-2 BR) where I can get away for a few days, and would prefer to take the dogs with me. I live in the mid-Atlantic area– anywhere between NYC and DC is perfect.

If you are only going to be gone for a few days, why not get someone in to watch the pets. That way you can relax and the pets won’t get stressed from traveling.You can find pet friendly hotels but most folks will not want to rent out with animals. You can come and go as you please. Just a thought. Enjoy your mini vacation.

The Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport, Maine has 2 or 3 rental houses in addition to the hotel rooms and dogs are welcomed in both. We just got back from our yearly trip and dogs still rule at The Colony.
