If something were to happen to him, his parents and my parents would take them. I have 3 dogs, 2 goldfish, 2 neon tetras, 1 mouse, 1 Russian dwarf hamster, and 1 guinea pig. Yes arrangements are in place for both my Dobermanns. If a family member was unable to house my Dobermanns {very unlikely scenario} my b*tch would be returned to her responsible breeder to be rehomed {a term in the contract}, & a family member would be allowed to meet prospective new owners. I have remained on good terms with the breeder of my b*tch & she would assist in finding a permanent home for my male Dobermann. My family are aware that I would not want my male Dobermann surrendered to Dobermann rescue, as I would want someone who knew him to have a hand in choosing his new home. Not the happiest thought, but a practical & necessary one. Yes arrangements are in place for both my Dobermanns.
