What’s so appealing about sarcastic animated animals in movies for the past decade?
By
Over the past decade I’ve seen a rise in those Toy Story-esque animated movies involving sarcastic animals and the like. Most of the jokes are targeted at adults, and the animals are very sarcastic. I don’t really see what’s so appealing. I can name about 10 movies right off the bat containing sarcastic animals or creatures.
Finding Nemo
Shrek
Shrek 2
Ice Age
Ice Age 2
Robots ( not really animals, but sarcastic and animated)
Madagascar
Over the Hedge
Flushed Away
Happy Feet
The Wild
I can name more but I’d rather stop.
These sarcastic fluffy animals are proving an unstoppable force in the modern day box office, and I’d like to know why?

Children watch them…
the adult jokes are thrown in for the parents that are forced to watch the movie 50 times with their children…

Children watch for the cute antics, and the parents watch for the jokes & sarcasm that their children are too pure to understand. It’s a win-win situation.

It’s because the studios found away to aim animated flicks at adults and kids and get more money . Once Hollywood finds away to get people in theaters it beats the hell outta that type of movie until people stop going to see them, ( thats why all the sequals in any type of movie being put out.)then they will back off forabout 6months a release another one. In short term It’s all about the CASH !!!!!!!!
