contact your local paper, they usually dont charge you for “free” listings. Also check with your vets and animal shelters, they always have bulletin boards up you can post info on. Good Luck!
By the way what are you giving away?

Are you “giving away” a pet? I suggest you charge something, even $50….because free pets get snatched up by research centers, and other not so nice places.
Your local newspaper would be a good place to advertise. Also, community bulletin boards. Maybe you could turn them over to a no-kill shelter or rescue…

If you are selling the pets, expect to pay a price for an ad. If you are giving them away, you can usually find a free ad in a paper.

If you advertise in the local classifieds you really don’t know what kind of people will contact you so be ready to screen them very careful. Make sure you get a address or contact number maybe a few references would be good. I think you should contact a animal rescue group to see if they could help you place them in good homes. What kind of animals are they?

Newpapers, online listings are good places. So are bulletin boards. However, I NEVER recommend placing ads for “free” or “free to good home” pets…they’ll usually wind up with someone that will not care for them properly. The people that will make good homes tend to be leery of free ads because “you get what you pay for”. When something is free, people often wonder what’s wrong with it. Even a small fee will discourage bad owners. If you can’t care for your pet, you and the pet would be better off if you surrendered it to the humane society/shelter.
